Students in first grade are working on Point of View within a story. Who is telling the story? Is it an unknown narrator or a character? We talked about 1st person and 3rd person narration (and the students really impressed me with their understanding of this concept!), then we read No, David! together. After reading, they each took a page and wrote a sentence from David's point of view. If David had been telling the story, what would he have said? Comments are closed.
